About me
John Hornby. DVSA fully qualified instructor.
I have been a driving instructor since 2022. I am passionate about helping others and finding ways to see them succeed! I still remember the buzz and happiness I got from the first pass one of my students received, and all this time later nothing has changed. Each pass feels special and I take personal pride in delivering a driving experience that ensures every learner is not only ready to pass their test, but prepared for real life driving beyond the test.

The honest truth is part of vizion zero South West and is centred around a vision to have zero road deaths. The honest truth is a programme that explores the top 10 contributing factors to road deaths. You will will be shown short videos on the honest truth app at certain points along your learning to drive journey which you will discuss with your instructor. This will prepare you for when you have passed to ensure you have the awareness to not be part of the tragic road death statistics. (1633 road deaths in the UK in 2024).
